Niceley made

Ok, First thing, Cymbals...it dosen't stand out much for me..., I can hear it, but it's not a great volume in transition sounding. The Cymbals not geared for transitioning are still quiet-ish.
I could imagine a Choir singing in Latin for this song.
The Rhythm guitar fades 1:36, it is audible but just barley.overall this song sound more like of a "We cant lose" type of song.

EagleGuard responds:

Haha, a straight-to-the-point review =p I find it annoying when people make the cymbals too loud, so I make them a bit softer on purpose. Then again, they could use a slight boost, but I don't find it that disturbing to be honest.

I do have a choir patch, and was thinking about using it, but in the end I thought it wouldn't be of much value. Also, I don't have such a choir in my back garden unfortunately, so making them sing exactly in Latin will be difficult xD

I'll try to focus a bit more on mastering next time, so things like rhythm guitars are a bit more noticeable.

Thanks for the review!

This is epic

Wasn't expecting it to go slow, but then it went fast! LIKE A YOSHI

I looked at the reviews and went,

WHY THE HECK IS THERE ONLY2 (now 3) This song in the game, would've made it 10x more awesome!

Well it's kinda misleading.

Nice melody none the less, But this is more above the realm of the 8-bit I was told it was. (The title)
Needed-
Claps
Snares (to enhance the kick)
some hi-hats (For the more energetic part!
Re-verb kicks (They are always usefulll for transition)
----
You should start this song out as 8-bit, then slowly phase the rest of the intruments to non-8bit. The tempo feels a little slow where it's supossed to be fast (BPM) It feels like 140BPM to me, i suggest around 150-160 BPM when the heavy kicks get in.
The ending kinda is the "wow, what the crap" I get the intro. but i don't get the ending.

djresset responds:

this is only the WIP ending and i will have a better one on the full

awesome

some of the abrupt ending kinda puts me off though.
The percussion's beep sounds like a synth to me kinda dosen't do much in terms of the song. I think you shoulda used the "Scratchy" sound a bit more in magical 8-bit plug

DarcX responds:

Yeah, the "snare" I used was too much of a definite pitch, I suppose. I'll have to experiment with that a bit more. Thanks for the review and the rating. I'll be making more! :D

nice but

the effects and the percussion, could be lowered. The background synths are ok, just neeed to be a tad bit louder. The whole thing is the fact that the percussion/ effects are overpowering the melodys.

JackRocker responds:

i can see that being an issue. thanks for the review! i'll take your advice into consideration...i think i need new headphones though..mine kinda color my sound differently.

Compression needed alot.

The song is peaking so much it hurts the ears. The melody dosen't really need to be so loud-ish. The bass replacements., really blend in and are like that short kid in a crowd of tall people, basically it's there but hardly noticeable.
I'd start using some compression tools.

seel responds:

There's a lot of compression in there, and I don't see where this alleged peaking is occurring. Fixed the bass, and thanks for the review.

The battle

for the final boss-

alright

The bass sounds not really "metal" enough. The song seems liek it should've gone faster when it "Repeated"

This isn't the trainer battle theme

This is the battle theme for gary motherfucking oak
